Liberty (dam)

Liberty, also an F1 Golden Doodle, was born on 9.11.20 in Michigan.  She is well-mannered, playful, very loyal and great with our kids.  She is a medium F1 Golden Doodle, weighs approximately 45 lbs, and measures appoximately 19 inches at the shoulder. She has wavy hair and has minimal shedding. Her puppies make great pets!

Understanding Golden Doodle generations:

F1 Golden Doodle means that one parent (usually the female) was a Golden Retriever and the other parent was a poodle. Most F1 Golden Doodles are low-minimal shedders. There is no such thing as a dog that does not shed 100% of the time. Our dog, Liberty, has a beautiful, manageable, cream colored, wavy coat. She sheds very minimally. Our first litter of puppies was an F2 Golden Doodle litter, which means that the puppies have both parents that are Golden Doodles (they are second generation).  Of our 6 (F2) puppies, 4 were low-rarely shedding and 2 were medium-heavy shedders. In hopes of having a litter where all the puppies were minimal shedders (and hopefully no shedding), we chose to breed Liberty to a full poodle stud. These puppies, with one F1 Golden Doodle parent and one poodle parent, are referred to as F1b Golden Doodles (meaning: First generation (1) Golden Doodle, bred back to poodle). We have done our research regarding genetics. We have had genetic testing done in both sire and dam. The results show that most likely all puppies in our 2024 litter will be minimal-non shedding puppies. When choosing a puppy, remember that the curlier the puppy (indicating more poodle genes) typically the less chance of shedding. Also, keep in mind that dogs that do not shed their hair also require regular grooming. It is good to brush them several times a week and trim their hair approximately every 2-3 months to keep away tangles and keep them cooler and tidier.

How big will the puppies be when fully grown?

These puppies will be Moyen (medium) Golden Doodles (expected to weigh between 35-40 lbs.). Mother is 45 lbs. and Father is 40 lbs. Puppies are expected to range in weight from 30-45 lbs when fully grown.

Why Goldendoodles?

Golden Doodles are playful, affectionate dogs and usually train easily because they are very smart and desire to please. They need lots of socialization with their new pet owners. They are happiest when with those they love. If trained and loved, Golden Doodles can be great canine companions. Their popularity is growing rapidly and, when you own one, it's easy to see why!
